Leadership Loveland, a program of the Loveland Chamber of Commerce is designed to develop emerging leaders in order to supplement and encourage high quality local leadership. Through the involvement of business, civic and community leaders, the Leadership Loveland program addresses these basic goals:

  • Identify, motivate and develop community leaders
  • Assist future leaders in identifying issues and problems facing the community and to develop possible solutions tothese problems
  • Provide program participants with the opportunity to meet current leaders and to challenge both groups togreater community involvement


The required tuition for the One-year program ($525 for Loveland Chamber investors and $625 for everyone
else) covers all meals and program materials. Transportation is provided on State Government Day at the Capital in
February; however class members should be able and willing to provide their own transportation as needed. Tuition must
be paid prior to Orientation and must be paid in full. Tuition may be paid by the applicant, by the applicant’s employer or
sponsor, or a combination thereof.


Applicants for the Leadership Loveland program must be aware that attendance and active participation is mandatory.
Applicants must have the support and commitment of their employer. Monthly sessions are from 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.on the second Tuesday of each month. The signature of your employer is necessary for this application to be consideredby the Advisory Committee. Any session missed will have an alternative make up session. Active participation in a classproject is also required to graduate.

Session Topics

From September 2016 to May 2017, the Leadership Loveland program will consist of monthly one-day seminars. Duringthe year, the class will be introduced to a diverse curriculum that includes:

  • Orientation/Leadership Expectations
  • City Government/County Government
  • Educational Systems
  • Business and the Economy
  • Leadership Development
  • State Government (Travel to Capitol)
  • Natural Resources
  • Public Safety
  • Arts and Leisure
  • Health and Human Services

Designed and monitored by the Leadership Loveland Steering Committee, the seminar format consists of information and
discussion on issues related to the program topics. In addition, the participants experience leadership styles and decision
making. The program formats vary, but each include ample opportunity for participant involvement and interaction.
